Alinma Bank has launched the newly released “mada Pay” NFC payment service for its partners (customers) using Android smart devices. The new service allows partners to load their Alinma mada debit and credit cards onto the “mada Pay” Android app, giving them the ability to make POS payments by simply waving their smart devices over any mada Atheer POS terminal. NFC (near field communication) is a safe, secure, convenient, contactless payment option that obviates the need to insert a card into a POS machine. “mada Pay” is perfect for partners who wish to make fast, small-value purchases on-the-go.
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Ibrahim AlSayari, Vice President of Retail Banking at Alinma, said that the new service was part of the bank’s ongoing effort to innovate in the Saudi market and ensure that its partners are able to avail themselves of the very latest technological advances in banking worldwide.
"Alinma contstantly strives to anticipate partner needs and aspirations; and with ‘mada Pay’, we are able to provide our valued partners with the convenience they want and the security they expect,” said AlSayari. “Furthermore, we are pleased to be the first Saudi bank to extend NFC, contactless payments to our credit cards, which, like our mada debit cards, can be loaded onto the ‘mada Pay’ app and then used for POS purchases of up to SAR 100.”
Alinma Bank has one of the most advanced technical infrastructures in Saudi Arabia, and uses this advantage to provide a seamless experience to partners, both online and in-branch. Alinma has a network of 156 branches, and more than 1,460 ATMs throughout the kingdom. 24-hour, self-service banking is also available via the bank’s Alinma Internet (www.alinma.com), Alinma Mobile (WAP), and Alinma Phone (8001208000) services, as well as through its Smart Gate suite of smart device apps.
