Alinma Bank Partners with King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives to Sponsor Exhibition of Architecture of the Two Holy Mosques

As part its ongoing commitment to community development and its desire to support research and education, Alinma Bank has signed a SAR 5 million agreement to sponsor an architectural exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah, which will become an important landmark the city and is expected to attract significant numbers of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.  The agreement was signed at the Alinma Bank head office in Riyadh, and establishes a partnership between Alinma Bank, the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, and the General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

 

The exhibition will explore the history of the Two Holy Mosques, and will feature historical timelines of both mosques’ development. It will also include seven halls dedicated to Islamic historical figures, the design of the pulpits of the Two Holy Mosques throughout history, development of the Maqam Ibrahim, rare collections and manuscripts, inscriptions, precious artifacts, and rare photographs.  The exhibition will cover an area of 1200 square meters in the Um Al-Joud neighborhood next to the King Abdulaziz Complex.

 

It is worth mentioning that Alinma Bank previously donated SAR 3 million in 1439 H to the Waqf Libraries in Madinah to sponsor its museum, activities, and publications. The museum features displays of restored historical Quran manuscripts, as well as various items belonging to the Prophet Mohammed.

 

Alinma’s sponsorship of Islamic museums and exhibitions highlights its belief in partnerships between the public and private sectors in service of Vision 2030 objectives related to the preservation of Islamic and cultural history.
