Alinma Bank and the Saudi Professional League – the governing authority for professional football in Saudi Arabia – have renewed their partnership agreement for the 2022/2023 season, with Alinma Bank signing on as an official sponsor of ROSHN Saudi league.
The agreement was signed on August 24, 2022 at the bank’s head office in Riyadh, with Alinma Bank represented by Senior Vice President, Mr. Saleh bin Abdullah Alzumaie, and the Saudi Professional League represented by Mr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Hamidi, the SPL CEO.
Speaking about the agreement, Alzumaie noted Alinma’s ongoing support for Vision 2030 and its initiatives aimed at increasing the activity of key sectors such as sports and youth-oriented events.
Said Alzumaie: "The Saudi Professional League is emblematic of Saudi sporting excellence; and Alinma Bank is proud to be a partner as well as a sponsor, especially in light of our positive experience sponsoring the MBS League Cup last year. SPL’s work is integral to the kingdom’s development plans, and Alinma Bank is keen to support the sports sector and to engage youth in positive, constructive ways.”
Speaking on behalf of the Saudi Professional League, Al Hamidi said that he was pleased to have a partner such as Alinma Bank, and he lauded the bank’s continued interest in, and commitment to, sports in the kingdom.
Said Al Hamidi: “With the success of our partnership last season, we were eager to have Alinma continue as a sponsor this year, as great gains have been achieved by both parties. SPL is committed to its strategy of growth and development; and having a diverse base of sponsoring partners is key to our success. We thank Alinma and look forward to a season of memorable moments for football fans.”
