Alinma Bank and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen their partnership in Islamic banking research, training, development, and academic collaboration. The agreement aims to foster cooperation in developing innovative Islamic banking products and services that adhere to Sharia principles, while also enhancing awareness of Islamic banking through joint workshops, information exchange, and specialized Sharia consultations.
The MoU was signed at the headquarters of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in the presence of distinguished representatives from both institutions. The President of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Professor Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amiri, the CEO of Alinma Bank, Mr. Abdullah Ali AlKhalifa, and His Excellency the Deputy CEO of Alinma Bank, Mr. Saleh Abdullah Alzumaie, graced the signing ceremony. Alinma Bank was represented by the Secretary-General of the Sharia Sector at Alinma Bank, Yaser AbdulAziz AlMarshde, while the university was represented by the Dean of the Sharia College, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Al-Amri.
On this occasion, Secretary-General of the Sharia Sector at Alinma Bank, Yaser AbdulAziz AlMarshde said: This MoU signifies a significant step forward in the strategic partnership between Alinma Bank and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, combining their expertise and resources to advance Islamic banking knowledge and practice. The collaboration is expected to yield valuable contributions to the Islamic banking sector and the broader financial landscape.
