Alinma Bank Celebrates First Graduates of "Athar" Program for People with Disabilities

Under the patronage of the Acting Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development Affairs, Eng. Soltan bin Jorais Al-Jorais, Alinma Bank celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the Athar program. This initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, is dedicated to training, qualifying, and employing individuals with disabilities.

Commenting on the occasion, Alinma Bank CEO, Mr. Abdullah Ali AlKhalifa, highlighted that the Athar program is a result of fruitful collaboration with the Ministry. He emphasized the program's focus on equipping individuals with disabilities with the right tools and sufficient training to prepare them for workplace challenges, effectively integrating them into diverse work environments, and providing transformative empowerment opportunities that positively impact their professional and personal lives. He added: "We affirm the bank's full readiness to share this experience with all other entities, whether in the private or public sector, to expand the scope of the program and achieve a positive impact across various institutions in the Kingdom, thereby enhancing diversity in the labor market."

The Athar program aligns with Alinma Bank’s commitment to Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to create inclusive and integrated work environments for all segments of society. It also reflects the bank’s dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities and opening doors for their active participation in the labor market. The program follows a comprehensive framework, starting with the selection of candidates in cooperation with the Ministry, followed by professional and psychological training to equip them with essential skills, and concluding with job rotations that facilitate their seamless integration into actual work environments.
